Silver lining during dark clouds

 Sources reports that Sri Lanka has an 8% increase in revenues in the IT & BPO sector US$ 971mn in 2020 compared to US$ 899mn in 2019. When almost everything else had to take a break due to COVID-19 pandemic the comprehensive IT & BPO services exports sector arose better than ever in 2020 as it chronicled its highest-ever earnings reflecting that the sector mounted extraordinarily impact resistant. 

Sri Lanka is estimated to have received US$ 971 million from IT & BPO services such as business and knowledge process outsourcing carried out for off-shore clients, mainly in the West. Reassured by the recent routine and the climate favouring the tech industry, experts have set a striving target of US$ 1.75 billion for 2021.
